Doors & More

Are composite doors worth the money?

For most UK homeowners, yes. A quality composite door lasts around 30 years, needs almost no maintenance, and won't rot, warp or fade like timber or uPVC. Spread over its lifespan, the higher upfront cost works out at a modest annual figure for noticeably better security, insulation and kerb appeal. How long do composite doors last?

A well-made composite door typically lasts 30 years or more with minimal upkeep. The GRP skin resists fading, and the solid core won't bow or rot, so it holds up to everyday use and British weather far longer than uPVC, which tends to feel tired at around 20 years. How much do composite doors cost?

Our composite doors start from £545 supply only. Fitted prices vary depending on the door style, colour, glazing and whether you need a site survey, so the easiest way to get an accurate figure is to build your door and request a free quote.

Are composite doors secure?

Yes — composite doors are among the most secure on the market. Their multi-material construction makes them very difficult to force, and every door we supply comes with 3-star ABS anti-snap locks as standard, the cylinder rating recommended to resist the most common break-in methods.

Are composite doors better than uPVC?

Composite doors are stronger, better insulated and more secure than uPVC, and they hold their appearance for longer. uPVC is cheaper upfront, but composite has overtaken it as the UK's most popular front door because it delivers better security, thermal performance and longevity for a sensible premium.

What's the difference between 44mm and 48mm composite doors?

The 44mm door is our most affordable option and the cheapest composite door we offer. The 48mm timber-core door is our premium choice, with extra rigidity, insulation and a more substantial feel. Both come with 3-star anti-snap locks as standard.

Can I have a different colour inside and out?

Yes. You can have the same colour on both sides, or dual-colour your door — for example, a white interior with a black or anthracite grey exterior — to match your home inside and out. Browse the full range in our colour collections.

Can you paint a composite door?

Standard-colour doors are coloured through the skin rather than painted, so they don't usually need repainting. They can be repainted if you want to change the colour later, using the right products and preparation. Our guide explains how to paint a composite door.

Do you supply only or fit the doors?

Both. Order supply only and we'll make your door to your measurements, with delivery usually in 2–3 weeks. Prefer it fitted? We'll arrange a site survey, manufacture the door and install it with our own vetted fitters across the UK. Get a free quote to start.

How do I order a composite door?

Design your door online using our builder, choosing your style, colour and glazing, then check out to place your order. If you'd rather order over the phone, save your design and give us a call and we'll process it for you.
